The budget friendly version of LG G3, LG G Vista just received a new root exploit and all thanks to those of xda-developers, who have provided us with a new unlock solution. Thus, since the root process might get complicated and also risky, I decided to bring this step by step guide. During the guidelines from below I will teach you everything that’s related to this operation and in the end I will show you how to easily and safely root your LG G Vista.
Ensuring root is among the first procedures to complete when having an Android powered device. Even if rooting is recommended only for advanced users, since the unlock procedures are almost intuitive, now you can choose to root your LG G Vista without problems, even if you are using Android OS for the first time. But why to complete such an operation, you might ask me?
- Double-click/Run LGFlash Tool 2014.exe file to Open LG Flash Tool.If it doesn’t open, install Visual C++ Runtime Library from here and then try again. Boot your LG device into Download Mode: Power off your LG device Press and hold Volume Up button.
- Sep 24, 2014 - Sold on both AT&T and Verizon, the 5.7-inch G Vista is LG's. The note taking app QMemo+ and Guest mode, which keeps your content.
- How to Root Verizon LG G Vista VS880 Easily – One of the latest variant cell phone that has been released by LG is the LG G Vista. Mobile is reportedly released in 2014. LG G Vista was created as a mid-range phone when it was released on the Verizon network.
I have my LG G Vista stuck in fastboot and when I try to turn the phone on. It will go in to download mode, but it will not factory reset or anything.
Well, in a few words, by gaining root access on your LG G Vista, you will partially unlock your Android smartphone and its Android OS. Basically, during root, all factory and default restrictions that comes pre installed on your device, will be removed. In the end you will gain access over your phone’s internal system, thus you will be able to change and customize its Android firmware. So, bottom line, gaining root is a custom operation that is the best in case you want to tweak your LG G Vista.
The tweaking process might refer to customize, optimize and power up procedures that could be completed afterwards. You see, ensuring root is only the first step to make when trying to speed up your LG G Vista, or when thinking in customizing the Android OS, improving battery life or improve other general performances. Therefore, after completing this tutorial you will be able to take care of other custom processes such as installing a custom recovery image, flashing a custom ROM firmware, installing a custom kernel, overclock your Android device, remove bloatware and lot more.
Of course, as you can already tell – it is quite obvious – rooting your LG G Vista will imply in performing an unofficial operation and in using a third party app developed and offered by third party devs. So, this guide has nothing to do with Google or LG. Ensuring root is not official which means that you will lose your phone’s warranty while completing the same operation. Also, if you try to unlock your LG G Vista without checking the guidelines from below, you can mess things up, ending with a soft bricked Android device.
Since the warranty will get void, you will no longer be able to reclaim it, even if you take your phone back to service for technical assistance – in fact, you will have to pay these services, which might get quite expensive. Thus, a solution will be to manually fix your LG G Vista. Due to same reasons, try to avoid unpleasant situations from happening and stick to the steps from below.
It is important to know that you can lose your data while rooting your LG G Vista. Because of that, before heading towards the proper unlock process from below, the best will be to backup your Android device by using compatible backup and restore apps from Google Play, or other dedicated platforms. It will be important to backup the data from your SD card too, as you will need it during the root process (you will see what I am talking about at the right moment). Don’t skip the backup and take your time for saving your contacts list, call logs, market apps, internet settings, images, videos, audio files and other personal data, info and accounts you might need afterwards.
A computer is required and your phone and its USB cable must be near you. In order to make things right and for avoiding unpleasant situations, first, from your computer deactivate – only temporarily – antivirus and other similar protection and from your phone enable USB debugging option (you can do this by going to “menu – settings – developer options”). Afterwards, you have to check the battery status on your LG G Vista; if the power left is currently less than 50%, you definitely have to plug in the charger before doing anything else – if your phone will get turned off in the middle of the root operation, it might also get bricked.
This root process is compatible only with LG G Vista and with no other Android powered smartphone or tablet. Thus, try not to mess thing up in any matter and stick to the steps from below in order to make things right.

Install Virtual Box and install a Linux distribution in it. That will keep the risk of losing data on a Windows pc at bay. I have two different Linux distributions available that way.

· 4 years agoOk first off I don't know how to format my ad card. I didn't even know I had one. I may be a noon to this but I want go root it. Also what is the root of said sd card? If you went into explanation of the steps then this would be a much better guide.
· 4 years ago · 4 years ago · 4 years agoBuddy, if you don't know how to format an sd card or what the root of that card is, then you should probably not be trying to root your phone. That said, formatting the card to an EXT2 or EXT4 partition table requires linux which based on your answer above you probably don't even know what that is. To install linux and format the sd card is another two or three tutorials, and it will involve risking the data on your pc to install a linux. The root of any drive is the bottom of the drive in its hierarchy (eg. not in any folders). If you have a tech savvy friend they can probably help you. but if you want to do this yourself you need to learn a number of things first. Good luck and i hope you get to root your phone.
